New Delhi/IBNS: The Election Commission on Thursday reacted sharply to the allegations by the Trinamool Congress (TMC) party that it had failed to provide protection to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who was injured on Wednesday while campaigning in Nandigram.

Nandigram/IBNS-UNI: Tension ran high today at Birulia bazar in Nandigram, the epicentre of West Bengal polls, where Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee sustained wounds a day ago,  as the rival supporters of TMC and BJP assembled in hundreds blaming each other for Wednesday's incident.
