FIR lodged against Prateek Hajela for allegedly tampering final NRC list

Guwahati/IBNS: An FIR has been lodged against Prateek Hajela, former state coordinator of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam, for allegedly tampering with the data, records associated with the final list of NRC which was published on Aug 31 last year.

Guwahati/IBNS: The Assam Public Works (APW), which is one of the original petitioners of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) in Assam, on Thursday filed an FIR with the CBI in Guwahati against the former State Coordinator of NRC in Assam Prateek Hajela for misappropriation of the NRC fund.

Guwahati, Sept 4 (IBNS): A case has been registered and one more complaint has been lodged against National Register of Citizens (NRC) State Coordinator Prateek Hajela for 'deliberate exclusion of genuine Indian citizens' from the final NRC, which was published on August 31 that left out more than 19 lakh people.
