Jammu: In a step aimed at better solid waste management processes and environmental sustainability in J&K and to facilitate easy segregation, disposal and processing of waste generated in Jammu city, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Friday inaugurated the material recovery facility at Bandurakh, Jammu.

Guwahati, Sept 9 (IBNS): Making a fervent appeal to the youth to realise the hazardous impact of plastics and non bio degradable objects that cause tremendous harm to our environment, Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Saturday said the state government would set up Assam Institute of Waste Management and a separate department would be made for looking after waste disposal and management.
