Kolkata: BJP, Bajrang Dal activists held for taking out Hanuman Jayanti procession with 'deadly' weapons

Kolkata, Apr 12 (IBNS): The Kolkata Police on Tuesday midnight booked six persons, including two local BJP leaders and four activists of extremist Hindu organisation- Bajrang Dal, from Chitpur area in northern part of the city for allegedly carrying sharp weapons publicly during a rally, which was held to celebrate Hanuman Jayanti (A Hindu ritual/festival, celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Sri Hanuman) on the same day, officials said.

Mangalore, Oct 21 (IBNS) Eight people have been arrested for killing a Bajrang Dal activist who participated in a campaign that led to the closure of slaughter houses in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka, reports said.
