Kolkata hospital allegedly withholds critical patient until family surrenders fixed deposit papers

Kolkata, Feb 24 (IBNS): A day after West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee warned privately-run hospitals to stop harassing patient-parties and making unfair bills for treatment, Apollo Gleneagles Hospital in Kolkata's Bypass area reportedly made a 7.23 lakh bill for treating a man for only seven days and allegedly forced his family to pay the entire bill to shift the critical patient, reports said.
