Supreme Court to hear RG Kar rape and murder case today amid massive protests in Kolkata
The Supreme Court will hear the case related to the brutal rape and murder of the female doctor in Kolkata's RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on Monday.
Thousands of people from different walks of life, including doctors, students, rickshaw pullers and artisans, shouted slogans demanding justice for the RG Kar rape and murder victim with Kolkata witnessing multiple rallies across various points in the city on Sunday.
A delegation of 22 doctors met Kolkata police commissioner (CP) Vineet Goyal and submitted their deputation to him, over 20 hours after the medics began their “Lalbazar Abhiyan”, the headquarter of the city police, demanding justice for the Kolkata rape and murder victim.
