UN report lauds India's 'remarkable progress' in human development as HDI ranking improves to 134

New Delhi: India witnessed an increase in its Human Development Index (HDI) value in 2022, rising from 0.633 to 0.644, a positive trend after a decline in 2021, according to the latest report from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
