Junior doctors celebrate win after Mamata accepts to axe top cop, DC North, but won't join work until implemented

Kolkata/IBNS: After days of high drama, the long-awaited meeting between protesting junior doctors and Mamata Banerjee finally took place at the latter's Kalighat residence, at the end of which the CM announced that most of the demands of the protesters have been accepted and in accordance with their wish city police commissioner Vineet Goyal will be removed on Tuesday.

Kolkata/IBNS: After a marathon meeting with the protesting junior doctors to end the ongoing impasse and a 38-day-long ceasework following the brutal RG Kar rape and murder, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee Monday late night announced to remove Police Commissioner Vineet Goyal and DC North Abhishek Gupta besides two other health officials bowing to the demands of the protesters. The protesting junior doctors broke into celebrations after their win.

Kolkata/IBNS: The long-awaited meeting between protesting junior doctors of Bengal and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee at her Kalighat residence in Kolkata concluded after two hours on Monday evening, that was aimed at ending the ongoing impasse which started with the demand for justice over the gruesome rape and murder of a medic at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.
