New Delhi/UNI: In a major setback to the West Bengal government, the Supreme Court on Monday upheld the Calcutta High Court's order directing the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to probe into the six FIRs related to the violence allegedly unleashed on Ram Navmi processions in the state, in which police supposedly did not record bomb attacks during the procession, under Explosive Substances Act.
Kolkata: West Bengal police prevented a six-member fact-finding team, including former Patna High Court Chief Justice Narasimha Reddy, from visiting Hooghly district, which recently witnessed communal clashes surrounding Ram Navami celebrations, news agency ANI reported.
