ASI requests court to defer proceedings on disclosure of Gyanvapi report to avoid spread of rumours
Varanasi/IBNS/UNI: The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Wednesday moved an application in the Varanasi district court with a prayer to differ or adjourn proceedings related to the opening and disclosure of the survey report of the Gyanvapi complex to avoid the spread of rumours and so that it could comply with the orders of the Allahabad High Court.

Varanasi/UNI: A Varanasi court on Thursday said the plea filed seeking daily permission to 'worshipping' of the Shivling-like structure inside the Gyanvapi Mosque was not barred by any act and hence it is maintainable while rejecting the application moved by the Masajid Intezamia Committee under Order 7 Rule 11 of the CPC (Code of Civil Procedure).
