The Hindu God of the beginning of all things pristine, Lord Ganesha is loved by all for his attributes, be it his head, an elephant shaped yet quick witted or the ‘sheer’ size of his totem, a rat. The Hindu community of India and several other states, including West Bengal, celebrated ‘Ganesh Chaturthi’ in his honour, with a lot of pomp and flair on Thursday (Sept 17, 2o15))
