Kolkata: Political heavyweights pay last tribute to Mahasweta Devi

Political leaders across Kolkata paid their last tribute to activist and litterateur Mahasweta Devi on Friday (July 29, 2016). Mahasweta Devi breathed her last in Kolkata on Thursday after a prolonged illness. Eminent politicians like Firhad Hakim, Partha Chatterjee, Biman Bose and Suryakanta Mishra among others visited Kolkata's Rabindra Sadan where Mahasweta Devi's body was kept.
