Renowned Indian screen and stage actor Naseeruddin Shah on Friday (May 3, 2014) commemorating the 93rd birth anniversary of legendary Indian filmmaker Satyajit Ray, released an un-filmed visual script written by Ray. The script edited in the form of a book by Sandip Ray was released at the ICCR’s Rabindranath Tagore Centre, in Kolkata. The visual script 'Satyajit Ray’s Ravi Shankar', comprises articles by Ray and interviews of Ravi Shankar on various aspects of their collaboration, and a scholarly introduction by Sankarlal Bhattacharjee on the relationship between the two maestros. Popular Indian pop, jazz and playback singer Usha Uthup on Monday (Apr 28, 2014) lent her voice to record the theme song of the upcoming Bengali movie 'Gogoler Kirti' in Kolkata. The film is directed by Pompi Ghosh Mukherjee and produced by Supratik Ghosh. Uthup recorded the theme song 'Go Gogol Go' in the presence of music director Surojit Chatterjee at her own studio 'Studio Vibrations'. Penned by new talent Tapan Mukherjee, a member of Surojit Chatterjee’s virtual poetry club 'Kobita Club', the song is a fusion of disco and trance.
