Reclaim the Night 2: Kolkata cries justice in second vigil for RG Kar victim
Kolkata on Wednesday (Sept 4, 2024) witnessed a massive turnout of people throughout the night from 9 pm till midnight in the second vigil by tens and thousands of people demanding justice for the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital rape-murder victim. The vigil was also meant to keep the eyes on the Supreme Court hearing of the case amid a CBI probe though the scheduled hearing from Sept 5 has been cancelled. From the Shyambazar five-point crossing and College Square in north Kolkata to Jadavpur 8B bus depot in the south, people sang and shouted one slogan- We want justice.
