Designers Shantnu and Nikhil closed day one of Lakmé Fashion Week in partnership with FDCI with their grand “Capella” collection at the Jio World Convention Centre. The couturiers chose nostalgic opulence by revisiting the Baroque Era’s majestic artefact – The Chandelier as their inspiration. With this brilliant object of layered artistic lighting as their guiding beacon, the collection also unveiled layers of designing creativity for each ensemble. Kriti Sanon was the showstopper. Fire guts Kolkata film production godown, vehicles

A spacious godown of a film production centre of Tollywood, some vehicles, police van and about 10/12 shops have been gutted in fire at three different places in the city under South 24 Parganas early Thursday. A firefighter was injured while combating the flames at the Eskay movie studio, storehouse, located in Kudghat area, state minister Aroop Biswas confirmed.
