Tokyo/UNI/Sputnik: New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard, the first transgender woman in the history of the Olympic Games, failed on Monday to complete any of the lift attempts, effectively finishing her participation in the Tokyo games.

Wellington: Laurel Hubbard is all set to become the first transgender  athlete to compete at an Olympics as he was selected for the  New Zealand women's team that will compete in Tokyo 2020.
