Ford's Theatre: Of President Lincoln and the Man Who Killed Him

Abraham Lincoln was assassinated on April 15, 1865 (he succumbed to the bullet wound of the previous night on April 14) at the Ford's Theatre in Washington DC by stage actor John Wilkes Booth.
