UN deplores deliberate killing of civilians in Afghanistan's Farah province

New York, Sept 2 (IBNS) The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) has strongly condemned the deliberate killing of 12 civilians in the western province of Farah for which the Taliban has claimed responsibility.

New York, Apr 14 (IBNS): Welcoming Sunday's announcement of the first batch of results in Afghanistan's Presidential elections as a further step towards completing the electoral process, the United Nations Assistance Mission in the country (UNAMA) has noted that these results represent only a small proportion of the millions of ballots cast in the poll.

New York, Apr 5 (IBNS): The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan (UNAMA) strongly condemned the "abhorrent" attack on two international journalists working for the Associated Press on Friday which left one dead and the other wounded.
