UN welcomes signing of political agreement on elections in DR Congo

New York, Jan 1 (Just Earth News): United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Sunday welcomed the signing on Sunday in Kinshasa, by the opposition and the Majorité présidentielle, of a political agreement on the holding of elections in Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and transitional arrangements leading up to the polls.

New York, Nov 3 (IBNS): The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) called on Monday on the main political stakeholders in the country to redouble their efforts in bringing the political dialogue process to a successful conclusion, which would allow for an agreement to form a Government of National Accord and for the resumption of Libya’s democratic transition.
