Nearly 1 in 5 children living in areas affected by armed conflict: Study

New York, Feb 15 (IBNS): More children are living in areas affected by armed conflict and war than at any time in more than 20 years, according to a new report published by Save the Children. Stop the War on Children: Protecting Children in 21stCentury Conflict reveals that 420 million children—nearly one in five—were living in conflict-affected areas in 2017, up 30 million from the previous year.

New York, May 23 (IBNS):  The number of people fleeing violence and persecution from States in Central America, including Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras, has risen by nearly 60 per cent in the space of just a year, the UN refugee agency (UNHCR) has warned.
