Toronto/Sputnik: A sixth of Canadian small businesses impacted by the COVID-19-related restrictions are contemplating closing for good, potentially putting 2.4 million jobs in jeopardy, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business (CFIB) said in a report.

Toronto/Sputnik/UNI: More than a million Canadians lost their jobs last month, pushing the unemployment rate up 2.2 percentage points to 7.8 percent amid the growing novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Statistics Canada revealed in the Labor Force Survey for March.
