Canada: 113,700 jobs added in Ontario since this time last year

Ottawa, Mar 10 (IBNS):  Ontario's addition of approximately 113,700 jobs since this time last year has resulted in its employment increase by 15,700 jobs in February, media reports said.

Metrolinx enters into contract with Alstom as backup plan for Eglinton Crosstown

Toronto, May 14 (IBNS): To ensure the timely launch of Eglinton Crosstown LRT and to keep on track other LRT projects, Metrolinx -- an agency created by Government of Ontario to improve the coordination and integration of all modes of transportation in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area -- has entered into an agreement with Alstom, one of Bombardier's competitors, as an alternative supplier of light rail vehicles, media reports said.
