Facebook's Free Basics receive a jolt in Egypt, shut down by government

Cairo, Jan 6 (IBNS) Just a week after Facebook's Free Basics, an ambitious project by the social networking site to provide free internet access in developing countries was suspended by Indian telecom regulators, Egypt too walked the same path and shut down the service, media reports said.

Washington, June 30 (IBNS): Social networking site 'Facebook' has landed itself in a huge controversy after a study revealed that it secretly manipulated the feelings of 689,003 users to understand "emotional contagion".
