Bangladesh interim govt plans to convert former PM Sheikh Hasina's palace to revolution museum
Bangladesh interim government chief Muhammad Yunus has directed authorities to convert ousted former PM Sheikh Hasina's palace into a museum to mark the July-August uprising that led to the fall of the Awami League government.
Bangladesh President Mohammed Shahabuddin has declared the dissolution of the Parliament and the formation of an interim government to facilitate prompt elections in the country which is witnessing severe anti-government protests that triggered former PM Sheikh Hasina's resignation.
Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana left their official residence and headed to a 'safer place' amid deadly anti-government clashes in the country on Monday.
