Zimbabwe govt shuts down Chinese-owned Bikita Minerals
Harare: The Zimbabwean government has ordered the suspension of operations of lithium mine Bikita Minerals, which is currently owned by China’s Sinomine Resource Group, until it complies with legal provisions that include labour, environmental and immigration laws, media reports said.
China to invest in Afghanistan’s Lithium sector
Beijing/Kabul: China-based company Gochin recently offered to invest USD 10 billion in Afghanistan’s lithium mining industry, which is valued at more than USD 1 trillion.
