Mumbai/IBNS: Seychelles Tourism Board conducted the last familiarization trip for 2019 with pan India tour operators along with airline partner Air Seychelles.

This week-long educational trip showcased the beauty of its three main islands- Mahe, Praslin and La Digue.

The tour operators got an opportunity to experience the paradise islands, partake in various activities and get inspired by the local culture and cuisine.

With increasing awareness of the islands in India, we have seen a slow drift in tourism pattern from mainly honeymooners towards other segments like family holidays, adventure travel and celebrations.

The aim of this familiarization trip was to explore various aspects that cater to the requirements of these segments. Senior Management from Meetpal Travels (Hyderabad), Red Letter Holidays (Delhi), Shalom Travels (Mumbai), WTF Fares (Nagpur) and Riya Travels (Mumbai) were a part of this educational trip and the entire experience helped to enhance their knowledge to better promote and sell the destination. During their visit, these Indian tour operators received a warm Seychellois welcome from hotel and DMC partners.

The group also got a chance to interact with Seychelles Tourism Board and Air Seychelles teams to learn about the changing trends and positioning of Seychelles in the India market.
