New Delhi: In accordance with the latest directive released by India's Ministry of External Affairs and the Department of Civil Aviation,  to bring back stranded Indians in the country, airline CapaJet has announced that it would be operating more special charter flights from New Zealand and Australia for Indians who are stuck or are willing to return home.

CapaJet has received overwhelming success with India to Australia repatriation missions including the current Mumbai-Sydney flight. The airline said it has received a tremendous response from the fliers.

CapaJet is also launching India to New Zealand flights with the first flight between Bengaluru and Christchurch on Jun 17.

More flights will be announced in a few days. Flight details like date of departure, fare and booking process can be obtained from the company’s website www.capajet.com.

To ensure high-end service and a comfortable flying experience to its flier, the company has selected Singapore Airlines to operate its long haul Asia and APAC repatriation mission.

With such strategic associations in place, CapaJet is on track to repatriate over 5000 people by the end of June, it said.

In the last three months, CapaJet has become the most preferred carrier for many countries to engage whilst outourcing services for repatriation, the airline claimed.

Countries like India, Australia, New Zealand and Canada have already approved special repatriation flights while discussions are going on with many other countries as well.

Since the pandemic has begun, CapaJet has extended its support to various countries to operate special repatriation charter flights and bring back stranded citizens.

The New Zealand to India Repatriation charter flight is in accordance with MEA directive, which allows for charter flights and non-scheduled flights to operate back into India bringing back stranded Indians.

“In these difficult times, CapaJet has expanded & engaged its services in collaboration with different governments to run repatriation flights. After many months of being stuck abroad, we are pleased to be able to assist & partner to complete these critical humanitarian missions. We look forward to working with additional authorities and countries to expand our offerings in this space and add additional routes,” said Fergus Forbes, Repatriation Manager, CapaJet.

While operating the repatriation flights, CapaJet will be ensuring and adhering to the latest international aviation guidelines issued to prevent the spread of Covid 19 disease.

The aircrafts will be sanitized, temperature screening will be done for each passenger and the crew will ensure all these stringent guidelines are being followed.
