New Delhi/IBNS: Indian airline IndiGo operated a special charter flight from Uzbekistan to bring back stranded Indian citizens.
The IndiGo flight 6E 8516 from Tashkent to Delhi transferred a total of 213 passengers on Aug 7.
The flight was operated with the assistance of the Embassy of India in Tashkent, Uzbekistan and Sentro Group.
IndiGo operated the flight while adhering to all the precautionary measures, ensuring a safe and hassle-free flying experience for the passengers.
Ronojoy Dutta, Chief Executive Officer, IndiGo said, “We are pleased to continue our efforts to bring back stranded Indian nationals, with our first charter flight from Uzbekistan.
"We extend our gratitude towards the government for allowing IndiGo to operate these international repatriation flights, enabling a safe arrival of our fellow countrymen back to their homes in such difficult times. It is our endeavour to continue to serve the country in every manner possible in these difficult times”.
