Kolkata Airport starts VISA on arrival based on ETA
Kolkata, Jan 13 (IBNS): Kolkata Airport has now started facility for 'Visa on Arrival based on Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)' for 43 countries.
Certain with facilities will also be available like, seating area of 500 sq.mtr. to accommodate about 50 pax at a time in the arrival air side corridor adjacent to Immigration area, four nos. of counters for Immigration and VISA with all facilities, foreign exchange counter to facilitate the passengers and snack bar for waiting passengers.
The facilities have been started from December last year.
More than 500 VISA have been issued so far since the facility commenced.
The VISA on arrival facility is going to facilitate travelling passengers and boost tourism in Kolkata as well as West Bengal.
The countries who can avail the facilities are: Australia, Brazil, Cambodia, Cook Islands, Djibouti, Fiji, Germany, Indonesia, Israel, Japan, Jordan, Kenya, Kiribati, Laos, Luxembourg, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Mexico, Micronesia, Myanmar, Nauru, New Zealand, Niue Island, Norway, Oman, Palau, Palestine, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Russia, Samoa, Singapore, Solomon Island, Thailand, Tonga, Tuvalu, UAE, Ukraine, USA, Vanuatu, Vietnam and Finland.
