Air India to operate daily Delhi-Prayagraj flights during Maha Kumbh Mela 2025
New Delhi: Air India has announced the commencement of daily flights between Delhi and Prayagraj to cater to the increased demand during the Maha Kumbh Mela 2025, the world’s largest spiritual gathering.
The service will run from 25 January to 28 February 2025, providing the only full-service travel option on this route.
Customers can choose from Economy Class or premium cabin options.
The airline will operate one daily round-trip flight, with departures scheduled during daytime hours for added convenience.
These flights aim to facilitate easy connectivity for devotees travelling from various parts of India and international locations, including North America, Europe, Australia, and Southeast Asia.
Between January 25 and January 31, the Delhi-Prayagraj flight will depart at 2:10 pm, arriving at 3:20 pm, while the return leg will leave Prayagraj at 4:00 pm, reaching Delhi at 5:10 pm.
From February 1 onwards, the Delhi departure will be at 1:00 pm, arriving in Prayagraj at 2:10 pm, with the return flight leaving at 2:50 pm and arriving in Delhi at 4:00 pm.
The Maha Kumbh, often referred to as the world’s largest gathering of humanity, began on Monday.
The 45-day event features key bathing rituals, including the first major 'Shahi Snan' performed on the auspicious occasion of 'Paush Purnima' at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the mythical Saraswati rivers in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh.
