Jet Airways to facilitate summer travel with new direct flights
Towards this end, the airline will introduce direct flights between new city pairs and also increase frequencies on existing routes.
The summer season will see the airline bolstering its network to offer guests nearly 650 flights per day.
In an industry first, and as part of its about to be launched Summer schedule, the carrier will launch new, direct services to Madurai and Bagdogra, from Mumbai - becoming the first airline to connect the country’s financial capital with two well-known cities via non-stop flights.
Similarly, the airline will also connect the Pink city of Jaipur with Chandigarh, Dehradun with Srinagar, and Bengaluru with Kozhikode with non-stop flights, aside from services linking Bengaluru with Lucknow, via New Delhi and, Mumbai with Srinagar, via Dehradun.
While Bagdogra is a major gateway for travelers to Eastern India, especially to scenic destinations in Darjeeling and Sikkim; Madurai - a major historical city, ranks among the most popular holy sites in the country, accounting for significant amount of pilgrimage / tourism related traffic.
Starting Mar 26, 2017, the new flights to Bagdogra and Madurai will depart from Mumbai at 1005 Hrs. and 1055 Hrs. respectively, reaching their destinations at 1300 Hrs.
On their returns, the flights from both the cities will depart at 1335 Hrs., arriving in Mumbai at 1635 Hrs. and 1535 Hrs. respectively.
Similarly, the flight between Jaipur and Chandigarh will depart Jaipur at 1400 Hrs., arriving in Chandigarh at 1530 Hrs.
The returning flight, will depart Chandigarh at 1610 Hrs., to reach Jaipur at 1740 Hrs.
On the Bengaluru - Kozhikode sector, the flight from Bengaluru will depart at 1315 Hrs., to reach Kozhikode at 1430 Hrs. On its return, the flight will leave Kozhikode at 1455 Hrs., to reach Bengaluru at 1605 Hrs.

With demand also surging across established sectors, the airline will also add 12 additional frequencies on existing routes across its network.
