Taiwan Tourism Board conducts FAM trip for Indian travel agents
Taipei, Apr 21 (NITN): Taiwan Tourism Board recently organised a familiarization (FAM) trip for travel agents from Pan-India to create an understanding about the destination and establish relations for the travel trade about Taiwan and its delightful offerings that appeals to all segments.
Representatives from ten travel companies including Ascon Travel Pvt Ltd, Khaitan Air Travels, R G Travels, Akshaya India Tours & Travels P Ltd., 1st Choice Travels, Varun Worldwide Holidays, Syrisa Travels Pvt Ltd, Uniworld Destinations Pvt Ltd and World Travel Studio.com were part of the trip.
Commenting on the initiative Arthur Hsieh, Director, Taiwan Tourism Bureau, Singapore Office said, “India is a growing market for us and there has been a positive spurt in the growth from tourism traffic from India. Our Indian travel trade partners have been very supportive in promoting all the aspects of Taiwan, be it its culture, beauty, food, night markets or shopping. We are further increasing our initiatives this year with more FAM trips, roadshows and training programmes.”
During the trip the agents explored the areas of Taipei, Kaohsuing, Depang Bay, Sun Moon Lake Area, Taichung, and conducted B2B meetings with Edison Travel, Golden Foundation, Happygo Travel, Kuching Travel, Atami Hotel, Howard Plaza Hotel and Leo Foo Village.
Noel Saxena, Country Head, Taiwan Tourism Board-India Office, said, “FAM trips are a great way for agents to familiarise themselves with a country and then further promote it among their client base. We as Taiwan Tourism in India work closely with the travel agent community to boost relationships and increase visitor arrivals from India."
