Germany says it will help rebuild Nepal's cultural heritage

Kathmandu, April 30 (ANI): Germany's ambassador to Nepal said his country would help rebuild Nepal's cultural heritage after last week's earthquake which has left over 5,000 people dead and tens of thousands homeless. Matthias Mayer said Germany had teams in the country helping with crucial issues like water supply and medical treatment. The ambassador said his country would also help rebuild Nepal's cultural heritage of the country, especially in the ancient temple town of Bahktapur, east of Kathmandu. Mayer said the embassy was helping German tourists by offering them food and a place to stay while they waited for a flight out of the country.
