As bigwigs from different walks of life came forward to pay their tribute to former Punjab DGP KPS Gill, the chairman of All Indian Anti-Terrorist Front M S Bitta also paid homage to late IPS officer and recalled his contribution in maintaining the law and order across the state of Punjab. He said that KPS Gill, the super cop who is credited with rooting out terrorism in Punjab with an iron hand played an instrumental role during the fight against Khalistan movement and Punjab Insurgency. Gill, who had been ill for a few days, succumbed to a cardiac arrest in New Delhi's Sir Ganga Ram Hospital yesterday.
