Police book man for conning people using Big B's name

Kharar (Punjab), Feb 25 (ANI): The Kharar police have registered a case of cheating, fraud and criminal conspiracy against one Harry Bhatt, who called himself nephew of Mahesh Bhatt. He was a Kharar-based conman who duped educational institutes and budding artists, in the name of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and also promised them to give them role in his Punjabi movie 'Ek Duje De Vaaste'. A Chandigarh resident, Dr Deepti, has complained about this to the Kharar police that she met Harry Bhatt at an event, where he told her that he is making a Punjabi Film "Ek Duje Vaste" and Amitabh Bachchan would be a doctor in that film. He promised her a role of the doctor in the film. Police sources said that Bhatt also duped a renowned Punjabi movie actress, who acted in Ek Duje De Vasste movie but the actress did not lodge any complaint. The cheque, which Bhatt gave to the actress bounced. The police officials said that Bhatt's phone number was switched off but they had sent teams to UP and Dehradun where he could be hiding. Investigation is on.
