Dhaka attack: IS claims responsibility
Dhaka, Mar 25 (IBNS): Militant group Islamic State has claimed responsibility for the suicide blast which occurred at a police checkpoint in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka on Friday, media reports said.
The SITE Intelligence Group website said:"Shortly after its ‘Amaq News Agency reported its responsibility for a suicide bombing at a police checkpoint in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka, the Islamic State (IS) issued a communique for the attack."
While the attacker killed himself, no casualties have been reported.
The incident occurred few minutes before 8 PM on Friday.
