Egypt: Gunmen attack bus, 23 killed

Cairo, May 26 (IBNS): At least 23 people were killed as gunmen attacked a bus in Egypt on Friday, media reports said.

The bus was reportedly carrying Coptic Christians.

The incident reportedly left 25 others injured.

The bus was heading towards the Monastery of St Samuel the Confessor in Minya province, about 220km (140 miles) south Cairo, when it came under fire,BBC reported.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

Last month, suicide bombings hit churches in the northern cities of Alexandria and Tanta that left at least 46 people killed.
