Pyongyang, Jul 4 (IBNS): North Korea has fired another ballistic missile on Tuesday morning, reports said.

The missile was launched from Banghyon in North Pyongan Province, a report by Yonhap news agency quoting South Korean military read.

Meanwhile, Japan said that the missile was directed towards them and may have landed in the country's exclusive economic zone in the sea of Japan.

The missile travelled around 930 kilometres and flew for 40 minutes, both Japanese and South Korean authorities said.

This is the 11th missile launch conducted by Kim Jong-un's men this year.

Protesting the action, Japan's chief cabinet secretary Yoshihide Suga was quoted in the media as saying, "North Korea's repeated provocations like this are absolutely unacceptable. We lodged a strong protest and condemned it."

Last week, US President Donald Trump has threatened North Korea of a determined response.

During a press conference, Trump told reporters, "Era of strategic patience with the North Korean regime has failed, many years it has failed. Frankly, that patience is over."
