Ethiopian Airlines flight en route to Nairobi crashes with 157 people onboard
Nairobi, Mar 10 (IBNS): An Ethiopian Airlines flight on its way to Nairobi, crashed with about 157 people on board, media reports said.
Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 was en route from Addis Ababa to Nairobi. It had 149 passengers and eight crew members on board.
The flight crashed near the town of Bishoftu, 62 kilometres southeast of the capital Addis Ababa, said reports.
Condoling the mishap and loss of lives, the Office of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia tweeted: "The Office of the PM, on behalf of the Government and people of Ethiopia, would like to express it’s deepest condolences to the families of those that have lost their loved ones on Ethiopian Airlines Boeing 737 on regular scheduled flight to Nairobi, Kenya this morning."
