Beijing, Apr 12 (UNI): The death toll rose to seven while four were still missing after sudden strong rainfall triggered floods in the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen, local authorities said on Friday.

At around 9 pm on Thursday, heavy rainfall hit Shenzhen.

The rainfall-caused floods rushed into river culverts, flushing away a number of workers responsible for dredging work in the districts of Luohu and Futian.

Search work and investigation is underway.
