Moscow, Apr 17 (Sputnik/UNI) A capsized boat in the east of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) left three people dead and 150 missing, media reported Wednesday.

Thirty people were rescued after Monday's boat accident on Lake Kivu, according to africanews outlet.

DRC President Felix Tshisekedi said on Twitter on Tuesday the preliminary estimates showed 150 people missing and offered his "sincerest condolences to the families concern."

"I am monitoring the situation to identify and punish those responsible," Tshisekedi wrote.

The authorities have not reported any potential causes of the accident yet.
