Algerian court summons former PM, finance minister over corruption charges
Algiers, Apr 21 (Xinhua/UNI) An Algerian court on Saturday summoned former Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia and current Finance Minister Mohamed Loukal for an investigation on corruption.
They are facing charges over embezzlement of public funds and illegally granting privileges to several businessmen, state-run ENTV television reported.
Such developments came amid continuing popular protests denouncing the regime's "dirty money" and "bad governance."
