Saudi Arabia: 35 people die, 4 others hurt in bus mishap

Riyadh: At least 35 people were killed in a traffic mishap in Saudi Arabia as a bus collided with another vehicle a day ago, media reports said on Thursday.

The incident left four people injured.

The injured people were shifted to Al Hamna Hospital. 

"Spokesman of Madinah police announced that at 7:00 pm on Wednesday 17/2/1441 H., the competent security authorities, with the support of the Saudi Red Crescent Authority, dealt with a collision of a private chartered bus transporting (39) - thirty nine - expatiates in the kingdom of Asian and Arab nationalities with a heavy vehicle (loader), in Al-Akhal Center in Madinah area, resulting in the death of (35) and the injury of (4) of its passengers and transferring them to Al-Hamna Hospital," Saudi Press Agency reported.

An investigation into the incident is currently going on.
