Tokyo/Xinhua/UNI: Former Nissan Motor Chairman Carlos Ghosn may have fled Japan and arrived in Lebanon in possible violation of his bail conditions which restrict overseas travel, local media reported on Tuesday.

One of the ex-auto tycoon's bail conditions was that he was prohibited from leaving Japan after being released from detention.

The former Nissan chief has been charged with aggravated breach of trust and violating the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act and is awaiting trial here.
Japan's public broadcaster NHK said that a member of Ghosn's defense team here said that he knows nothing about his possibly jumping bail or reports that he is currently in Lebanon.

The lawyer here said that he will look into the matter and confirm if the reports from multiple foreign media outlets are true or not.

Japanese prosecutors, meanwhile, also said they were unaware that Ghosn might be outside of Japan and are currently looking into the situation.
