Italian Senate unveils World Uyghur Congress President Dolkun Isa's book which aims to aware people on dangers of CCP
Rome: The Italian Senate recently unveiled a book titled “La Trappola Cinese”, composed by World Uyghur Congress President Dolkun Isa.
The book aims to create awareness about the dangers of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
The presentation was hosted by Senator Giulio Terzi in collaboration with the Global Committee for the Rule of Law – Marco Pannella, reports ANI.
During the book launch ceremony, in addition to the author, speakers included Senators Giulio Terzi; Gianni Vernetti, former Undersecretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy; Luigi Compagna, former Senator; Vas Shenoy, founder of Dialogue on Democracy; Matteo Angioli, Secretary general of the Global Committee for the Rule of Law – Marco Pannella.
Dolkun Isa is a former student-leader of the pro-democracy demonstrations at Xinjiang University in 1988, as per World Uyghur Congress website.
In November 1996, he played an important role in establishing the World Uyghur Youth Congress in Germany and served as Executive Chairman and President, read the website.
In April 2004, he also played an important role in the establishment of the World Uyghur Congress through the merger of the East Turkestan National Congress and the World Uyghur Youth Congress and was elected General Secretary.
He has since been presenting Uyghur human rights issues to the UN Human Rights Council, European Parliament, European governments and international human rights organizations.
Dolkun Isa is the current President of the World Uyghur Congress.
