Jeffrey Epstein: Documents released by court mention 100 high-profile individuals
New York: The court documents linked to notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have mentioned the names of over 100 high-profile people, including former US presidents Donald Trump and Bill Clinton, former first lady Hillary Clinton, theoretical physicist Stephen Hawking, and Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio, media reports said.
This list of nearly 150 people includes Epstein's associates and is part of a lawsuit filed against his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, in 2015.
The first list was disclosed on Wednesday as per a New York judge's order.
A second lists, with names already made public, were released on Thursday evening and Friday.
Some people have objected to the disclosure of their identities in the case.
According to British online newspaper Independent, the people named in Epstein's files includes:
- Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein's former girlfriend, sentenced in 2022 to 20 years in prison in sex-trafficking
- Prince Andrew, second son of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain
- Bill Clinton, former US president
- Donald Trump, former US president

- David Copperfield, American stage magician
- John Connelly, New York police detective turned investigative journalist who investigated Epstein

Jeffrey Epstein, known for his links with the who's who of Wall Street, royalty, and celebrities, pleaded guilty to soliciting prostitution in 2008. He died by suicide in a US jail in August 2019 while awaiting trial for sex crimes.
