Japan PM Shinzo Abe will not attend WWII-end anniversary in China
Country's Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga was quoted as saying during a press conference by Kyodo News that the "decision was made in light of factors such as the situation in the Diet," referring to the premier's busy schedule in parliament.
"We would like to continue making use of opportunities including international conferences for the leaders to hold a frank dialogue toward fostering better bilateral ties," Suga was quoted as saying by the news agency.
He said China has already been informed that Abe will not be able to attend the event.
