New York, Feb 27 (IBNS): Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has visited REDI School of Digital Integration in Berlin which teaches refugees to code.

He was accompanied by his wife Priscilla Chan.

"Priscilla and I visited the REDI School of Digital Integration in Berlin -- a non-profit that teaches refugees to code," Mark wrote on his Facebook page.

"Being able to meet with students from Syria was one of the highlights of my visit to Germany and I was impressed by their courage and determination. I met Akram who was learning to code in Damascus before the war began. Even while traveling to Europe he continued to study, and now he attends the school while volunteering to help other refugees. I met Rami from Aleppo who dreams of one day creating a startup. I met Louna who had never tried coding before but is now learning quickly and wants to become an architect. Dealing with the refugee crisis is a huge challenge, and it is inspiring to see people creating opportunities through technology," he said.

Mark and Chan recently visited Germany.
