One Indian nun among 16 killed in Yemen
Sanaa, Mar 5 (IBNS) Contrary to their earlier claims, the External Affairs Ministry clarified on Friday night that one and not four Indians was among the 16 killed by gunmen in Yemen on Friday when they stormed into an old age home run by the Missionaries of Charity of late Mother Teresa.
EA Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup was quoted in the media as saying, "Of the four nurses killed in Yemen, only one is Indian named Cecilia Minz."
Earlier, External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had tweeted saying four Indians were killed and urged the others to return back to India.
The nuns were reportedly gunned down by six men, who handcuffed them before shooting them in the head.
