David Cameron steps down as MP from Witney
London, Sept 12 (IBNS): Former UK PM David Cameron on Monday resigned as an MP.
The move will trigger by-election in the Oxfordshire seat.
He had represented Witney since 2001.
After becoming Conservative leader in 2005, Cameron was elected as the PM of the nation in 2010.
"Mr Cameron, who resigned as prime minister after June's EU referendum, said he did not want to be a "distraction" for new PM Theresa May," reported BBC.
